Wow, thanks for that. No UT8 in mrxvt has been driving me nuts for a while now. I've put up with it 'cause the benefits outweighed the annoyance.

Now mutt looks good again. Hooray!

You could also use one of the terminal emulators without tab support and have your window manager do the tabbing. Fvwm, Fluxbox, wmii, Ion, possibly others and even KWin (which you use if you still use KDE) support this.

Thanks, glad you like it! The OCaml Tutorial site is down right now due to server issues, but the folks at OCamlCore have been kind enough to put up a mirror. The tutorial site is mirrored here:

http://mirror.ocamlcore.org/ocaml-tutorial.org/index.html

and the Streams chapters are here:

http://mirror.ocamlcore.org/ocaml-tutorial.org/streams.html
http://mirror.ocamlcore.org/ocaml-tutorial.org/stream_expressions.html

Thanks!
Dave

Your tutorial about the stream module was very interesting. I recently wanted to read it again but I can't find it anymore. The site http://www.ocaml-tutorial.org/ isn't available for a long time now (I tried several times for a few days). Do you know why ? Is there a possibility to read a copy of your tutorial on the Stream module ? Thanks again for your work.

Thanks! I modified the code example to include a full definition of .__getitem__() - I had originally left the algorithm out since it is pretty lengthy and sort of tangential to my main goal of this article which was to demonstrate a basic pattern for writing custom QuerySets. However, in the interest of providing a runnable example, I have added it back in.

To really be a complete demo, it would require models and preferably a list view user interface - this would take more time than I have at the moment. One thing that I thought might be useful would be a "search everything" reusable app where you could configure which models and fields you want to be searchable, and get a search that runs across many models in your database. This might not be an optimal solution compared to Haystack, etc., if you're trying to do fulltext search, but in some cases it could be handy, and would make a decent proof of concept.
